Not Who He's Not
We continue to evolve as a family. As mentioned elsewhere, Felix has been a bit lonely. He wants to hang out with his friends. He's like a ten year old boy who misses being with kids his own age. That's a beautiful thing.
We're evolving to remember to see Felix for Who He Is, rather than Who He's Not. It's at times more difficult than it seems, but we're getting batter.
Felix the Elder
Felix makes a lot these days of being "one of the elders." He'll often note that of the five of us, especially when his sisters have run ahead, that it's the three elders who remain behind. Often he'll put his arms around Tina and myself and we'll do "an elder's hug".
Siblings
Felix's relations with his sisters is complicated. A month ago, Hanna and Saskia were more open to his presence, his recovery, the differences in his persona. He was, a month ago, a blend of a ten year old, a four year old and a fifty year. They were patient with his pre-school antics, and wove him into their activities as best as they were able.
